Campfire Hot Chocolate Mix

Hot Chocolate
|
A cup of hot cocoa around the campfire is a great way to end the day.
Kids especially love a hot drink at camp – kind of like the grown ups with the cups of coffee or hot tea.
Taking milk and chocolate syrup and other refrigerated ingredients can be difficult – impossible if you don’t have any way to keep things cold. That’s OK though. This mix is made ahead and is dry. Just take the amount you need and mix it up with hot water as needed.
Camp Fire Cocoa Mix
3 cups powdered milk
2 cups sugar
½ cup cocoa (baking chocolate powder – in the baked goods section)
1/8 tsp salt
Directions:
Mix together the dry ingredients in a bowl. Stir well.
Store in an airtight container or zip lock baggies.
This makes around 34 cups of hot chocolate.
To make the Camp Fire Hot Chocolate, you bring one cup of water to a boil. Stir in 3 TBS of the mix.
Pack some miniature marshmallows as well. Those are very tasty and cute floated on top of the hot chocolate.
